queen  chrysalis x two separate donors = jewel (blue mane, older of the two), and skipper (green mane, younger sister)

jewel was abandoned on accident after chrysalis attempted to retake the throne that she was usurped from, and got blasted away by the visiting equestrian royalty for the umpteenth time. by some miracle the young nymph wasn't carried away from her ancestral home and was adopted by thorax and his (at the time) long distance marefriend, when she learned how to direct the flow of love, thorax attempted to help her transform in the same way he and his hive-mates had; with a frustrating amount of failure, the only progress being that she got to the same state thorax was in shortly before his transformation, that being still a creature with Swiss cheese legs but with no need to consume love.

as soon as chrysalis found out her heir to the throne had been lost, she grieved for three years, and also hatched a plan.
for in the past there had been a pair of twin changeling queen who ran two separate branches of their hive, utilizing the hivemind for communication. in the countless ages before those two the two branches had been constantly worried the branch that whichever branch the queen did not reside in would rebel. but with two queens there had been a calm and prosperous era, which lasted until they were both assassinated by a rival hive's queen.
as soon as chrysalis was ready to have another royal child, she went to one of the bigger cities that have services for mares who wish for children but who either don't have a partner or are unable to have foals with their partner. and became pregnant with skipper.

skipper was raised her whole life hearing of the traitorous rebel thorax and his skittle lookalike like minions, and that her one and only sister had been kidnapped by them, but in her first mission, a small fair in ponyville, she was confronted by an odd unicorn, who called her out as a changeling and dragged her to the castle of princess twilight sparkle and her family, which to skipper's immense surprise, also housed the rebels whom had dethroned her mother, the princess's student and her family, and an old friend of the princess with her family. in total the castle filled roughly 150 of 200 bedrooms. but the crown of the regalia was most certainly the princess of friendship herself, twilight sparkle.
much to her surprise, princess twilight was very kind to her despite the fact that her mom had tried to enslave the kingdom the princess is sworn to protect. which she would regard in hindsight that it truly was to be expected as she is the least confrontational of the main tetrarchy (of which luna is the most confrontational).

after the meeting with the princess of friendship the newly reunited sisters decide to go on a rudimentary tour of ponyville and the surrounding farmland. skipper did not believe her sister when she said that no-pony really care if they're changeling that aren't "rainbowfied" which seemed like a surreal dream of a mad-mare, but she agreed to go without the disguise after the look jewel gave her (never doubt the power of puppy eyes when it comes to a shapeshifter).
needless to say quite a few ponies snickered in the background as jewel let out a cheerful "I told you so"
